RailTrends 2013 Speakers and Their Bios

Toby Kolstad has been in the railroad industry for more than 30 years, with stints at the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, and with car builder/lessor Greenbrier Cos. His company, Rail Theory Forecasts, published "North American Freight Car Market." Toby holds an MS degree in science and mathematics from Cal. Tech. and an MBA in operations research from the University of Chicago. He is currently a freight car columnist for Progressive Railroading magazine, a railcar market and valuation consultant, and is involved in railcar leasing activities.
